The best decision we made in 2016 was to buy an older camper on our lot. We loved it here so much that we 2 yrs later bought a new one. Now we have 5 family members that bought campers here! When my parents said you should get a camper and come to Rustic Lakes we did not know what to expect. But when we talk about Rustic Lakes this place has become a part of our lives. My children have grown up here, and love every minute they camp here. Our whole family has created many friendships over the years that are irreplaceable. As soon as Christmas is over the kids are asking, ”is it time to camp!” We truly enjoy all the time we spend here. We have been a family of campers for basically as long as we have been a family. We've camped at numerous different campgrounds within a few hours of Rustic Lakes over the almost two decades and RL by far has been the best we have been at. We decided to become seasonal campers in 2024 at RL. We love that there are so many activities to do if we want to, the shower house is well maintained and clean, there is a pool, and a food truck comes in on the weekends, which is great if we don't want to cook. The whole campground has a neighborhood atmosphere where people aren't afraid to talk to someone they don't know and everyone waves to everyone. Rustic Lakes has truly become our home away from home! I'm a seasonal camper at Rustic Lakes Campground, and I spend just about every weekend here. Over time, it has become so much more than just a campground—it's like a second home. The people here have become like family, and I've made some amazing friends along the way. There's always something fun going on, from campground activities to evenings spent relaxing around the campfire, and everyone is so welcoming and friendly. It's the kind of place where neighbors look out for each other, kids and adults always have something to do, and every weekend is filled with laughter and great memories. We stayed at many different campgrounds. The first time my wife and I came to rustic lakes with our kids we knew this was our forever home. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. The sites were much larger than any other campgrounds. All the amenities of a large campground but small enough to know just about every permanent camper here. Large pool, bands, Cornhole, horseshoes, fireworks, bingo, karaoke, hay rides, and kids games just to name a few things to do. Also, different food trucks just in case you don’t want to cook on the weekend. Trust me ! If you visit you just might find your permanent home for summer stays or weekend getaways. Michael L.

Over the past 4 years, our family has created countless memories here from summer weekends and holiday celebrations to simple evenings spent enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The sense of community is something that is hard to find elsewhere. The campground is also exceptionally well-operated. Management does a great job maintaining the property, keeping the grounds clean, and ensuring activities and amenities are enjoyable for everyone. We had been looking for a camp ground for years. When we pulled into Rustic Lakes everything, I mean everything, was checked off our list of requirements. From the office staff, to lot sizes, to the entertainment and activities. The absolute friendliness from other campers is so amazing. We have become like family. To be fair I have no other private campground to compare Rustic Lakes with. I will say this is our 4th season with them and love the place. Pretty much anything I've asked about or any help I've asked for the owner Ryan has given a prompt answer and has been more than willing to help. They have many activities for adults and kids alike. Haven't been out for a couple of weeks and can't wait to get back. We have made many new friends out there and miss them. We bought our first new trailer in 2024 and started looking for a campground immediately. The first time we came to Rustic Lakes we found a site we thought we liked and got out of the car to walk around a bit. The neighbor on one side came over, introduced himself, and greeted us asking if we had any questions. He told us how much he liked Rustic Lakes. We put a deposit down that day. We came back to Rustic Lakes a couple of weeks later to make sure we were happy with our choice. This time, the neighbor on the other side came to introduce himself and greeted us. This place is like family. After being here a year and a half now, we know everyone’s name (at least in our little corner) and we visit often. Deanne C.

Ten years ago, we found Rustic Lakes completely by accident, and it turned out to be one of the best surprises of our lives. What started as a chance discovery quickly became a place we couldn't imagine being without. When we came to Rustic Lakes 3 yrs ago. We thought it was our rustic escape in the heart of Ohio… since we have been there peoples generosity makes it easy to connect with people whether it’s for help or a cup of coffee, everyone’s like family. I think the best thing since I’ve been here is our friends and the mouthwatering food that everybody shares. Seeing everybody’s face! How happy they are to see each other. My favorite thing is the rustic lake campfires your friends and families are around the fact that you can bond with new friends! and the s’mores you get to eat, and the activities whether it’s kids or adults, there’s so much to enjoy in this campground and the best thing about it is people love your kid as their own.
