Rustic Lakes Campgrounds
Rules and Regulations
Violations of these rules and regulations could result in eviction from the campgrounds.
The Speed Limit in the Campgrounds is 5mph. If caught or reported to the office your gate cards will deactivated and you will be asked to park at the front gate and walk to your campsite.
CAMPSITE
• Campsite must be registered in the name or names which are on the Ohio Title. If only one name is listed on the Ohio title an additional name can be added to the campsite at the beginning of camping season and cannot be changed. The office must have a copy of the title to keep on file for verification.
• Rustic Lakes is a family campground. Any offensive or vulgar language will not be tolerated.
• We do not accept seasonal camping units that are over 20 years old.
• Only one camping unit per site.
• Seasonal Campers are responsible for their guests.
• All guests must be registered and paid for in the office during normal business hours and must leave the park by 11 p.m.
• Guest must be checked in 1 hour before close of business.
• Campsites must be kept clean and mowed at all times. If Rustic Lakes must mow your site a fee of $35 will be billed to you and a letter advising you to maintain your site.
• No modifications may be made to the site without permission from the office. DO NOT CUT OR TRIM TREES.
• Fences (including ropes, chains, logs, stumps etc.) are prohibited around campsites.
• Clotheslines are not permitted on sites.
• Do not screw or hang anything into trees (hammocks, clotheslines, decorations).
• Spools, old vehicle seats, logs or stumps, interior furniture etc. are not allowed as deck or lawn furniture.
• Music, radio, TV, corn hole or anything causing loud noises is prohibited between 11 p.m. thru 9 a.m.
• Minor Children may not use your campsite without parental supervision.
• Seasonal campers are not allowed to sublease their campsites. Anyone not listed on the title is a visitor and must be registered and pay visitor’s fee.
• Washing of vehicles is prohibited.
• The laws that govern roadways in Ohio are enforced on private campgrounds roads.
• Visitors or Guest riding a motorcycle must stop and register at the office.
Gate Cards
• Gate cards are for your use only. Do not give gate cards to other campers or guests.
• Do not use gate card to allow a second vehicle through the gate.
• Do not use gate cards after business hours to let your guests in the park.
• Do not give gate cards to anyone doing maintenance on your trailer.
•Report lost or stolen gate cards to the office immediately.
Air Conditioning Units
• Air conditioning units and fans must be turned off when you leave the park. If let running, you will be asked to return and turn off the unit.
Outside Kitchens
• Outdoor kitchens must be kept locked at all times.
Gravel
• Bringing your own gravel into the campgrounds must be approved by the office. You may also sign up in the office for gravel. Do not spread gravel across your site.
Firewood
• Firewood must be kept 12 inches from base of trees and 3 feet from electric boxes. A minimum of 8 inches off the ground. (County Health Director mandated)
• Dark brown, camouflage or dark green tarps only! BY ORDER OF THE STATE FIRE MARSHALL:
• One fire ring permitted per campsite, fire must be contained within the fire ring and flames kept low. Campfire must be completely out when leaving your campsite or retiring for the night.
Electric
• Deck lighting must be kept to a reasonable amount and must be turned off when not at campgrounds.
• Any bright light on your camper must be turned off after 11pm
• All plugs must be grounded.
• One electric outlet per site, installation of additional outlets is prohibited.
• 50 amp seasonal service is an additional $65.00
Water and Waste Disposal
• Gray water (shower and sink water) and Black water (waste) must be discharged into portable RV waste tank and taken to the dumping station.
• DO NOT DUMP ANY WATER OR WASTE ON YOUR SITE. NO FRENCH DRAINS OR GOPHER HOLES.
• Failure to comply with proper disposal of RV Waste water(Grey or Black) will be cause for immediate eviction.
• Mobile sanitary service: must be registered and paid by Tuesday. Tanks are pumped on Wednesday (weather permitting).
• Sewer hookup must be made with PVC pipe. Flexible pipe is not permitted.
Fishing & Boats
•Large lake is fishing by permit only. Permit available at the office. One tended pole per person. No Frogging.
•Boats are for Seasonal Campers Only.
•Boats are not allowed on lake after dark and before sunrise.
•Boats must be registered at office with proof of boat insurance.
•Minors must be accompanied by adults in boats.
•Minors must wear life jackets, and boat must have life jackets for everyone in the boat.
•Stored boats must be chained up and out of the water.
Decks (see Deck Regulations available from Office)
•Decks can be no larger than 8 feet wide and may be as long as the body of your camper.
•All decks must be approved by the office. Please see a staff member for deck construction regulations
•Decks may be wood or patio block. Deck posts must be on blocks- not in ground.
Metal Storage Sheds
•Storage sheds must be metal and a maximum size of 5x6 or 30 sq. feet. NO WOOD OR PLASTIC SHEDS. •Rubbermaid sheds are NOT permitted.
Pets
•No vicious pets allowed. Any pet reported for viscous behavior will be asked to leave the campgrounds.
•Pets must be registered at the office.
•Pets must be kept on a leash at all times.
•Pets must be in camper at night, and when you’re not at your site.
•Pets must be quiet. If barking is persistent, we will ask you to take your pet home.
•No pets in the office, game room, shower building, laundromat, swimming pool area, or rec hall. Droppings on site, and when walking, must be picked up, placed in sanitary bag, and disposed of in the dumpster.
Golf Carts (See golf cart use agreement available from Office)
•Golf carts are for people with a physical mobility issue only.
• A Handicap sticker or a note from doctor must be kept on file with office. This information must be provided at the beginning of each season.
• Office must approve all golf carts. We reserve the right to refuse any golf cart.
• Electric golf carts cost $150 for the season.
• You must have a valid driver’s license to drive a golf cart and must be the registered user on the campsite.
• Guests, teens, or family members are NOT permitted to drive golf carts.
• Golf cart must be operated at the 5-mph speed limit. You will be asked to remove your cart if found speeding or the office receives a complaint about your cart speeding in the campgrounds.
• Golf Carts should not exceed passenger occupancy. 1 seat = 2 adult passengers 2 seats = 4 adult passengers
Alcohol
•Alcohol must be consumed at your campsites.
•Police will be called for anyone who causes a problem due to intoxication and it will be cause for immediate eviction.
•Alcohol is not permitted in any Rustic Lakes Campgrounds building and may not be consumed at Rustic Lakes planned events throughout the season.
•Anyone providing alcohol for minors will be reported to police and evicted from the property.
Swimming Pool
•Swim at your own risk! No lifeguard on duty!
•A responsible adult must accompany minors under 14.
•State regulations are posted on Pool Gates and fence.
•NO JUMPING OR DIVING INTO THE POOL. This will result in loss of pool privileges
•Pool hours are from 10 a.m. to dusk.
•ADA Lift Chair at pool is for disabled persons only. You understand and acknowledge these rules and regulation when you register and sign-in at the office.
